Arthur Lin, 80, is on day two after surgery. Staff say he is not himself this morning. His daughter May is visiting. Assess his needs and risks, discuss a nursing plan and arrange review. Casey and the surgical doctor can be phoned.
What this station tests
- Delirium can present with distractibility rather than dramatic agitation.
- Restore hearing and vision while assessing causes.
- Family support complements nursing supervision and does not replace it.
