Lorna Davies is receiving a community diabetes review. A handwritten glucose entry differs from the meter history. Verify the current reading, correct the record transparently and communicate a safe plan. No insulin correction order is supplied. The patient answers personal questions; the examiner supplies requested examination findings. RN Alex Morgan is available.
What this station tests
- A current repeat reading is a new observation, not proof of an earlier result.
- Preserve the original entry and identify the source of a correction.
- Check whether incorrect data has already changed treatment or been handed over.
