The task

You are the RN on a hospital ward. Emily Patel, aged 47, has observations taken at 10:00. The electronic practice record contains an oxygen saturation entry that differs from your measured value. Check the current patient, correct the record transparently and document any escalation. Complete the supplied practice record. You and the patient are in the room; assistance can be called. You have eight minutes; describe and select physical actions in this online exercise.

What this station tests

  • Reassess Emily and the probe before correcting an apparently wrong saturation.
  • Own the typing error and notify Sam about the alert it triggered.
  • Preserve the original entry with an actual-time dated correction.
  • Confirm alert follow-up and report the error through the local process.
