RN OSCE practice station
Basic life support · 2 min to read · 8 min to perform
A written station. Free to try, no sign-up.
The task
You are the RN in an aged care facility. Evelyn Price, aged 81, is found unresponsive in a lounge chair. The current record documents full active resuscitation. An RN can assist with safe positioning. Recognise the emergency, demonstrate DRSABCD and hand over to arriving help. Complete the supplied practice record. Speak to the patient and describe each assessment as you perform it. A second RN is available. You have eight minutes; describe and select physical actions in this online exercise.
What this station tests
- Evelyn needs assisted positioning from her chair onto a firm flat surface.
- No shock advised is an AED decision, not evidence that breathing has returned.
- Her existing active-resuscitation plan supports starting care immediately.
- Last seen well at 09:40 and found at 10:00 are different handover facts.
