Elena Cruz, 35, is sitting in the ED waiting area awaiting assessment for vaginal bleeding. She now asks for a nurse. Assess her observations and immediate needs, document findings and arrange care. Casey is nearby; the ED clinician can be phoned.
What this station tests
- Possible pregnancy is relevant to bleeding assessment without establishing a diagnosis.
- Do not make a dizzy hypotensive patient walk to obtain observations.
- Describe bleeding and perfusion; do not invent a measured blood-loss volume.
