Nora Ellis will transfer to another ward later today. Her prescribed IV fluid has been running since 10:00 and she transfers to Ward 4 East at 11:00 with an RN escort. Review the order and bedside setup, describe the required nursing care and complete the fluid handover record. Casey and Dr Lee are available. Casey is the receiving RN on Ward 4 East; Dr Lee can be contacted.

- Transfer does not restart an infusion prescription.
- Communicate actual delivered and remaining amounts.
- A cease-for-review instruction travels with the order.
