PEBC OSCE mock exam: set one up that feels real
A PEBC OSCE mock exam should copy the real timing: stations of up to 7 minutes, 2 minutes to read, and only the references PEBC allows. Use the rules below to build one, or start with a free practice station.
Assess his complaint, choose and recommend from these products, and counsel him on use, what to expect and when to seek further care.

On the day, each station is capped at 7 minutes with a warning at 5. You get 2 minutes before each one to move and read the task. Testing is two 90-minute halves with a 20-minute break.
A full run of 11 stations is a long session, so you could start with a half and build up. Know the station mix first so your mock has 9 interactive tasks and 2 paper tasks.
Use the right references
PEBC lets you use only the references provided. Its approved list includes CPS, RxFiles, UpToDate and Health Canada. In your mock, open nothing else, because looking things up in the wrong place is a habit that costs time under pressure.
Practise the rules PEBC teaches
- Solve the problem in the room. A referral or "I will call back" is not enough on its own.
- If a list of products is supplied, pick from it and explain why.
- Show the four communication areas: respond to the client, keep a logical but flexible approach, engage non-verbally and use clear language.
Score yourself honestly
Rate each station on Communications, Outcome and Overall Performance, the same three ratings the assessor uses. Skip Communications for the paper stations. Then note one thing to fix before the next run.
An answer key is no substitute for practice. Real exam papers are not on this site. You can practise with an AI patient, try one station free with no sign-up, and see our plans. The PEBC OSCE hub has the full format.
