PLAB 2 practice AI: an AI patient you can talk to
PLAB 2 practice AI means talking to a simulated patient that replies to what you ask, so you can rehearse an 8 minute station at any hour. The station below is free to try, with no sign-up. The real exam is explained on the PLAB 2 exam guide.

A PLAB 2 AI simulator is strongest where the exam is mainly talking: history taking, counselling, breaking bad news, ethics and telephone calls. You practise opening, questions, explaining and closing, and you hear yourself under time pressure.
See PLAB 2 history taking and breaking bad news in PLAB 2 for how to structure those stations.
What it cannot replace
The GMC lists physical examination and procedures such as cannulation, suturing and bimanual examination. An AI patient cannot watch your hands. Practise those with a partner, a model or a face-to-face course. For spoken examination stations, saying your findings aloud still helps.
Practise online with a plan
- Use the 8 minute limit and read the task in 90 seconds first.
- Say your name and GMC number at the start, as the GMC requires.
- Review one domain at a time: data gathering, management, interpersonal.
- Repeat the same theme until it feels calm.
Our feedback is estimated and is not a GMC result. See PLAB 2 mark scheme for the three domains and pricing for plans.
