The task
You are the RN in a general practice clinic. Patrick O’Neill, aged 77, developed sudden speech difficulty while waiting with his daughter. Perform a brief neurological assessment and arrange emergency care. Complete the supplied practice record. Speak to the patient and describe each assessment as you perform it. Daughter Fiona is present. You have eight minutes; describe and select physical actions in this online exercise.
What this station tests
- Call 000 as soon as Patrick’s FAST findings are positive.
- Last known well at 09:44 and onset at 09:45 must remain distinct.
- Apixaban and its last dose at 07:30 are essential transfer information.
- Dysarthria with intact understanding calls for patient, direct communication.
