OSCE scenarios with answers for nurses
OSCE scenarios with answers work best when you practise live and then compare with a model approach, and we give you both. Every scenario is original and we do not publish real exam papers, so you can try the ward scenario below free with no sign-up.

Many searchers want a PDF of real scenarios with the right answers. We do not publish real papers or recalled questions, and we do not copy marking sheets. Exam bodies say stations change over time, and marking criteria are meant as guidance, not something to memorise.
What we offer instead is a set of original stations. After each attempt you see a model approach, so you can compare the order, the safety checks and the wording with your own.
What a scenario for nurses usually contains
- A short brief stating your role, the setting and the task.
- A patient, relative or colleague to speak to.
- Charts, such as an observation chart or a medicines chart.
- A time limit, often 8 to 10 minutes.
Topics in public blueprints include chest infections, heart failure, post-operative care, falls, pressure areas, catheter care and mental health. NMC lists public topic titles in its station timings document, and the Irish RCSI lists the headings it draws from.
How to use a model approach
- Do the scenario first with no notes.
- Read the model approach slowly.
- Mark where your order of actions differed and why.
- Redo the scenario a few days later.
Go to the stations library for more, or read OSCE stations to see the types. For UK nurses, the NMC OSCE page lists how that exam is built.
