OSCE AI simulator and practice
An OSCE AI simulator lets you talk to a computer-played patient and get feedback, which suits communication and reasoning but not hands-on technique. You can try one station free with no sign-up using the doctor station below.

- Answer your questions in the voice of a patient, so you practise how to ask and not only what to ask.
- React to your approach. A rushed or jargon-heavy opening gets a different response from a clear one.
- Give you repeat attempts at any hour, which a human actor cannot.
- Keep time so you learn to finish within the station.
- Show you where you drifted, with estimated feedback after the attempt.
What an AI patient cannot do
An AI patient cannot see your hands. It cannot tell whether you washed them properly, held a syringe correctly, found the right spot to palpate or positioned a patient safely. It cannot assess hands-on technique. Many exams require you to carry out the skill, not just describe it. The Australian nursing OSCE handbook, for example, expects candidates to perform tasks, not only say what they would do.
It also cannot replace an experienced assessor. Our feedback is an estimate. It is a practice aid and not a prediction of your result.
How to combine AI practice with real practice
- Use an AI patient for history taking, explaining, counselling, escalation and handover.
- Use a colleague, a skills lab or a manikin for examinations and procedures.
- Use timed full mocks near your exam date, so you rehearse the whole run.
For doctors, the PLAB 2 stations include examinations and practical skills as well as conversations, so a mix matters. See PLAB 2 and OSCE practice for more on building a routine.
Common questions
What is an OSCE AI simulator?
It is software where an AI plays the patient in an OSCE-style station, so you can practise talking, reasoning and handover and then see feedback.
Is OSCE AI simulator and practice free?
You can try one station free with no sign-up on this site. Further stations need a plan, shown on the page.
Can an AI simulator assess my clinical technique?
No. It cannot watch your hands or your positioning, so practise procedures with a person or a manikin.
Is AI feedback the same as the examiner's mark?
No. Our feedback is an estimate. Real assessors mark against their own criteria on the day.
Practise every day until it feels routine.
One pass opens every exam on the site. From US$25 for 7 days, with no automatic renewal.
